Heirloom Tomato Salad With Feta Ingredients

  • cup chopped fresh basil

  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

  • teaspoon salt

  • ? teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 4 large multicolor heirloom tomatoes, sliced

  • 2 medium English cucumbers, sliced

  • ? cup crumbled feta cheese

How to Make Heirloom Tomato Salad With Feta

  1. Whisk basil, lemon juice, olive oil, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper together in a large bowl to make dressing.

  2. Arrange tomatoes and cucumbers in a serving dish. Drizzle with dressing and sprinkle with feta cheese.

Heirloom Tomato Salad With Feta Reviews

  • There is far too much lemon juice called for in the dressing--and unfortunately, that really overpowered all the other flavors. I think it would be better without the lemon juice at all, especially since the Dijon mustard adds enough tang to the dressing already. At the very least, reduce it drastically. Its a shame that my heirlooms were overwhelmed by the lemon juice, because they should really not have their flavor hidden, but rather complimented. I would maybe make something similar in the future, but with a very different dressing.
